Maryland, Liberia: Abortive Civilian Overthrow of Harper City Government

(February 2, 2018)

On Monday, January 29, 2018, a group of young men attempted to take over The Harper City Corporation by force. The current Lord Mayor, Hon. Gyude Brown, was and is still in Monrovia, the Liberian capital, probably on a business visit when this happened.

The individuals involved in the abortive coup have been arrested. Currently, they're in prison awaiting court trial.

According to information gathered, the abortive coup plotter, will tell their story to the world in court as to what prompted such a move by them.
