Genocide In Maryland (Liberia) By UNHCR?

 The 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (known as the "Genocide Convention") under The United Nations defines genocide as any of the following acts:

1.       killing member (s) of a group;
2.       causing serious bodily or mental harm to member (s) of the group;
3.       deliberately inflicting on the group the conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or part;
4.       imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
5.       forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

The Convention confirms that genocide, whether committed in time of peace or war, is a crime under international law which parties to the Convention undertake "to prevent and to punish." The primary responsibility to prevent and stop genocide lies with the State in which this crime is committed.

On November 29, 2017, a truck, approximately two tones heavy, fully owned and operated by The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), drove over a kid’s lower body and damaged his pelvis in Harper, Maryland County, Republic of Liberia. The chauffeur fled the accident scene and left the kid profusely bleeding in the middle of the road at 8pm on that fateful Evening in no man’s land.

Since then, UNHCR has been running from justice. The Police’s effort to have UNHCR comply with the Traffic Laws of Liberia has been riding on slippery ground. Both UNHCR and its insurance company are on the run committing a serious violation of The UN Convention on Genocide.

After a one-week stay at the J. J. Dossen Memorial Hospital in Harper, the doctor recommended the kid be taken out of Maryland for further medical treatment since there is no expert at the Hospital to treat him.

At our own financial expense, the kid was flown to Monrovia. He’s currently in severe pain. From all indications, if nothing is done soon, he may not have kids at all in his lifetime. To date, consequent of the accident, the kid’s life has dramatically changed with mental and emotional distress. Nothing will be the same for him anymore. He’s out of school now due to his medical condition. His poor mother is in tears as the situation seems hopeless for her son. Having not lived in Monrovia, he is without food.

We submitted the matter to the senior senator of Maryland County, Amb. H. Dan Morias. He was deeply disturbed by this act of attempted genocide by UNHCR. As such, he promised to write the UN for its agency to take responsibility for such acts.

We use this medium to call on all Marylanders at home and abroad, Liberians and progressive mankind and the Media to help this kid get justice. We will accept food and clothing for him. Please contact us at the following numbers: +231.886.920.151/880.226.566.
