I,
T. Gbuo-Mle Bedell, social justice advocate, who has won several cases for
restitution including and not limited to shipwreck, ritualistic killings,
workers’ rights, students’ demands and other cases for the common people,
speaking and working on the ground in Liberia and a victim of police brutality,
do hereby, with all the emphasis I can command from the roof of my tongue,
condemn the cowardly acts, orchestrated lies, innuendos and the dastardly acts
of terroristic threats against me by the office of the Superintendent of
Maryland County with Nathaniel Toe serving as its chief instigator for
instability and chaos. I share the grief and sorrow of the many innocent
individuals who died and went to prison as a consequential result of this
diabolical tactics of lying on people whom they considered as perceived enemies
of the State. My heart goes out to the friends and families of those who became
victims of this despicable tragedy and lost their precious lives because they
no longer could exonerate themselves.
Obviously
this seems a well-planned and well-coordinated act of terroristic threat against
me and I am confident that the law enforcement authorities will soon discover
the identity of perpetrators responsible for this contemptible act and bring
them to task with the full force of the law.
At this moment of confusion, uncertainty and
naturally highly charged emotions, I earnestly appeal to the media and everyone
not to rush to judgment, as was done in the case of some citizens who were
falsely charged for things they did not do and sent to prison and the gallows.
I
am not against the Liberian government! And I am not an enemy of the State! I
did not “badmouthed” Vice President Boakai. I am a patriotic Liberian! I
reserve all rights to be a member of The Alternative National Congress Party
(ANC). And I am proud of the colors and Motto of ANC, “Liberia First.”
On
Monday, February 8, 2016, I was forcibly led into the Superintendent’s office
without any reason, whatsoever. While in there, I was aggressively interrogated
and falsely accused of “badmouthing” Vice President Boakai, and “recruiting”
for Alex Cummings. Even though I was psychologically tortured by the
Superintendent and her staff and threatened, I gathered myself and bounced back
denouncing the diabolical acts they are involved in. I strongly expressed my
distaste and refusal to be purged by anyone both in hell and on earth.
In
regards to this despicable act of terroristic threats made against me by the
office of the Superintendent of Maryland County, let the response of our county
be mature and thoughtful. For this is a moment of prayer and unity not of hasty
reaction.
Thus,
I place my entire life in the hands of the current Superintendent of Maryland
County, Madam Betsy Kuoh-Toe. In the event I am attacked personally and my life
is threatened, let the entire progressive world and people of decency hold her
responsible!
Self-defense
is a right, not a privilege!
We
pray to God to give strength to all of those who have suffered during this
catastrophic trend and practice of orchestrated lies and innuendos in Maryland
County and for us who are still undergoing the same level of BOLDFACE lies and innuendos committed
by bankrupt, decadent and indecent opportunists in the Superintendent’s office
masquerading as Government officials. We, revolutionaries and progressives, who
have different political beliefs, affiliations and are therefore independent
thinkers, do vigorously denounce these cowardly acts by irresponsible people of
the worse grade.
I am T. Gbuo-Mle Bedell, a social
justice advocate, working and speaking on the ground in Liberia and a victim of
police brutality!
