ebola Level in Liberia: What I think

The level ebola has reached in Liberia beats every stretch of a normal man's imagination!

It's unprecedented by all post World War measurements.

My friend was walking down the street in Monrovia when a man walking like a drunken man went by him.

Six feet past my friend, the man began to puke and defecate blood.

Immediately the cops arrived and secure the area.

The man lie there and died.

My friend was lucky.

Had the man puked on him, I would be opining his eulogy now!

Irrespective of the odds, my father believed in his country! And I do too!

Liberia is still a great nation.

And we are proud to be Liberians!

I Am Neither a Capitalist Nor a Communist

Let's take it from the top:

I am not a capitalist; I own no means of production.

I am not a communist; for I've not yet seen a successful dictatorship of the proletariat and a classless society.

And I do not work for the CIA.

I work pro bono in Liberia because it is a Calling and a Historic Mission.

God made me to fight for justice for ALL and a voice for the voiceless.

As a minimalist and Spiritualist, I submit all my work to His Will and Purpose.

See, one day I was invited to a birthday party. And there was so much fun, jokes, food and a lot of cold ones. Then someone got interested in the kind of work I do in Liberia and wondered how I live working pro bono for seven years. One guy got up and said, "He's a communist!" Just like that; as if I were the last of the Mohicans.

But I wasn’t surprised!

For I'm called many other names.

Confused? Yes!

Hateful? No!

But they are as wrong as they can be!

God made me a soldier in His army to bring relief to His suffering people.

And that's a Calling!

Does The End of The State of Emergency Mean The End of The ebola virus?

What evidence is there that the end of the State of Emergency marks the end of the deadly ebola virus that plaques the Liberian people?

Virtually none!

But there's a view and feeling amongst many Liberians, at least the ones at home in Liberia, that as soon as the Proclamation is made by President Sirleaf ending the 90-day State of Emergency, the ebola virus will also then cease to exist at once.

Consequently, all party people will then begin to hit the streets, night clubs, beaches and politicians shaking hands, hugging and breaking the anti-ebola ground rules.

All ebola safety kits (buckets for hand washing, chlorine, Clorox, soap etc.) and good hygiene and sanitation practices will be dashed into the gutters of history.

I have a very strong feeling regarding this:

If we are not careful as a people and nation, our recent ebola past, marking thousands of deaths in the land within few months, could be repeated; for those who failed to learn from the relics of history are doomed to relive it!

ebola in Liberia: If I were President Sirleaf

If I were President Sirleaf, I would extend the State of Emergency by additional 30 days and put claws and teeth on the measures and restrictions being applied in the robust fight against the ebola virus.

All recreational and entertainment centers SHALL remain CLOSED on Saturdays and Sundays and open for business weekly from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday with limited number of customers.

I then would convince the Liberian Congress and seek its support in safe guiding the Existence of the People and the State, which the Constitution is born and bound to protect.

For the existence of both the People and State is seriously THREATENED as our National Security is under SERIOUS attack.

I will also authorize a house to house contact tracing as a last ditch effort and mopping strategy to ascertain and determine the authentic and scientific data on the exact level of the ebola virus in the country.

Within this period congregation of people SHALL be absolutely discouraged.

That's My Opinion!

Maryland County: Ritualistic Killings – The H. Dan Morias et al Case, 2010

In Liberia, people hold things against you for either good or bad reasons. I have been quizzed on the case of H. Dan Morais et al.

They were accused of ritualistic killings of a Rocktown couple and a pregnant woman from Blayjay. And so dey were imprisoned. Whether or not they committed the crime, i have no way of knowing. But under our Criminal law, an accused has a right to Due Process. And dis was denied them.

As a citizen, God-fearing man and a social justice advocate, I took issue with Liberian government.

Thru peaceful protest demonstrations and defiance campaigns, legal social movement activities, we set them free.

Some say what I did was "wrong." They wanted them to rot in prison.

Well, I am here to say, I did what I had to do in the name of Justice!

If H. Dan Morias et al committed the crime they were accused of, as a spiritual man; I believe God will find them out. For God is a Just God!

If I were equipped and mature as I am today, I would have taken the case of 1979 as I did 2010!
