FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Comrades and friends of incomparable revolutionary
and political prowess, sons and daughters of Maryland and marginalized citizens,
militants, cadres and intellectual exemplars, progressive students of our
reputable William V. S. Tubman University, we bring you warm revolutionary
greetings from the Maryland County Revolutionary Civil Society (MCRCS).
Based on our historical and traditional
mandate to protect the palpable interests and welfares of tens and tens of thousands
of our suffering citizens, we are disappointingly dismayed that Hon. Betsy
Kuoh-Toe, superintendent of Maryland has embarked upon a disingenuous and
unproductive journey to unjustifiably persecute citizens for their political
affiliations at the detriment of our long and arduous struggle to build a
newfound democracy with the help of The United Nations and our international
partners after a 14-year generalized anarchy of violence.
We, leaders and members of MCRCS, categorically
rebuke, reject, condemn and resist such upright violation of our unarguable and
inalienable constitutional, democratic and universal human rights to choose any
of our citizens as a candidate for the office of President of this Republic
that was built on the sweat, tears and blood of our Forerunners! We will inexorably,
relentlessly, unremittingly and endlessly, battle against such devilish and
inhumane attitude, which has the inclination and propensity to destroy our long
and arduous struggle for peace, democracy and the Rule of Law in Maryland, yea
the Republic of Liberia.
Notice, on February 8 & 17, 2016
respectively, Madam Kuoh misused the name of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to
intimidate, terrorize, persecute and commit Felonious Restraint and hands-in-
gloves with GSA commit unlawful termination of my pro bono service to my
country on grounds that I, T. Gbuo-Mle Bedell, who travelled to Liberia from the
USA working pro bono for the past 8 ½ years, “badmouth” His Excellency Amb.
Joseph Boakai, Vice President of Liberia and that by meeting with “Team
Cummings of Liberia – TCL” representing Mr. Alex B. Cummings whom, we are told,
may vie for the office of President, come 2017 Presidential Election, I
“undermined” the Liberian government. I ask, what manner of woman can she be who
lacks a true sense of history, competition (cornerstone of democracy), the Rule
of Law, Good governance, that she will use President Sirleaf’s name to persecute
citizens for their political affiliations?
We categorically condemn, without mixing
words, from the roof of our tongues, this broad daylight violation of our
human, constitutional and democratic rights. Madam Toe MUST discontinue
marginalizing and persecuting citizens for political reasons! We ask men of
good will and President Sirleaf to save our county and people the horror and
agony of these violations!
I am
T. Gbuo-Mle Bedell, volunteer worker, social justice advocate, working and
speaking on the ground in Liberia and a victim of police brutality and
political persecution
